Meet Grace: A Piece of Living History, Beautifully Restored
Grace is a gorgeous 60-foot, one-hundred-ten-year-old wooden motor yacht and is one of the last of her kind still operating. As with any centenarian, there have been many people and milestones in Grace's past. She had four different names and eight owners spanning a shoemaker, a dentist, a businessman, and even a trapeze artist, who lived on her while running a floating theater that inspired the acclaimed book and hit Broadway show, Show Boat.
As a result, Grace is filled with rich history and classic lore that dates back to 1913. And, because she is a vintage, one-of-a-kind luxury vessel, she comes replete with beautiful appointments and wonderful finishes such as Honduran Mahogany paneling, curved ceilings, and white oak planks.
She's a beauty, and now available for scheduled cruises, private charters, and special events.
Imagine a special getaway for a group of up to 24 people cruising the beautiful May River and surrounding waterways. Specify the catered experience of your choice, ranging from casual fare to fully appointed five-star meals, complete with full bar service if you wish.
Explore the possibility of special event platforms, such as vintage, "gilded age" events, holiday celebrations, or even, pre-wedding or birthday gatherings.
Simply enjoy one of our many scheduled cruises such as our Sunset or Sunrise Cruise, our Full Moon Cruise, or our Sunday Mimosas on The May where guests are encouraged to bring their favorite champagne and enjoy a luncheon cruise with Palmetto Bluff family and friends.
Thanks to the inspired efforts of 45 Palmetto Bluff homeowners working in concert with South Street Partners, Grace was rescued from disrepair. She was initially discovered rotting underneath an oak tree at Marsh Harbor Boat Works by resident Lee Leonard, who marshaled the people and resources to pay for her restoration and to return Grace to service for the benefit of all PB homeowners and residents.
